Garbage Bets

A 'Garbage Bet" is the term used to describe a side bet made between golfers. Popular bets include "Greenies", "Bridies" and "Sandies". But have you heard of the ones listed below. Arnies - You win the hole by scoring par and NEVER hitting a fairway.

Watsons - A chip into the hole from off the green wins the bet, regtardess of the score.

Muncipals - Making par on a hole while you are playing on the adjacent fairway.

Nicklauses - Played on each par-four or par-five. Winner strikes the longest drive that remains in the fairway on each hole.

Flaggies - Any tee shot on any hole that lands withn a flag stick's distance of the cup.

Sandies: - Getting up and down from a bunker (including fairway bunkers).

Froggies - Skipping a shot across a water hazard and keeping it in play.
