Nineteenth Hole

Golf Talk 1

Let's talk some golf. Here are some terms for shots that will showcase your knowledge of the game:

A Banana is a fruit that is high in potassium which is good for your blood pressure. It is also a big, looping slice - which is not.

If you hit a high shot that really stinks, some people call it an Elephant's Ass

Now what would you call a shot that that is hit off the heel. Why, an Oral Roberts. It's a heeler.

A Sunriser is a shot that starts low but takes off high in a hurry.

Now just where are you on the course?

If you are on the dance floor you are getting ready to putt.

Hit one in the hay - you are in the rough.

And if you are in jail, you are in really bad rough - probably out of bounds.

Who should you look out for in your next round?

Someone who spends a lot of time in the hay or in jail, is sometimes known as a cabbage pounder.

And you have to look out for the bandit who consistently plays under his handicap. You may also know him as a sandbagger or a shark.

But someone you may want to meet is the pigeon - this guy is the opposite of the bandit. This guy never plays to his handicap. You should pick this guy up in a limo.
