These great looking wedges are classically shaped, made of 304 stainless steel. “soft” stainless which provides excellent feedback to the players, enabling them to quickly develop a “feel” for the various finesse shots they are faced with. Most players find they can control their distances and ball flight angle readily. These soft wedges make it easy to manufacture such shots as the “bump and run”, “down hill pitches”, “short high lob shots”, etc., with relative ease.

On full shots the 304 stainless is stiff enough to hit the ball as far as other materials. A player who uses a 7 iron from 150 yards out, can expect the following distances from each club:-

52° PW 115 yards
56° SW 95 yards
60° LW 75 yards

This is a 20 yard spread which meets modern set requirements nicely. Those who hit longer or shorter can extrapolate easily to determine what distances they can expect, assuming a solid full swing.

Each wedge has been custom designed to have a different center of mass from the ground. The 52 deg. PW is the highest, the 56 deg. SW is intermediate, and the 60 deg. LW is lowest. This provides the good length that can be attained on full shots. The slightly high centers of mass on the PW and SW enable the player to hit high, full  lob shots when needed. All you have to do is play the ball more forward in your stance.

The sole width, as measured from face to rear, is the same on each club. At the toe area they are 21 mm’s; at the heel area they are 16 mm’s.   The soft wedges have  a radiused sole (from heel to toe) to prevent either the heel or toe from digging into the ground or sand. The leading edge of the sole has a pro-grind radius which also prevent digging. These features make these wedges exceptionally playable in all types of difficult conditions. – bad lies, high rough, hardpan, soft or hard sand, and downhill lies.

All soft wedges' shafts are spine aligned.  Our expert craftsmen test every shaft and install the spine aligned side directly down the target line. The shaft then delivers itself to the ball with greater consistency and won’t effect the direction of your shot. By decreasing the shaft's movement in directions other than the final swing plane shaft-caused mis-hits are reduced and the improved torsional stiffness improves distance, accuracy and feel.

The standard shafts in the soft wedges are the excellent TT Lite (steel) shafts from True Temper. They are one of our favorite shafts. The TT Lite’s are available in x- stiff, stiff, firm, regular, seniors, ladies. As an additional cost option we also offer the TrueTemper Dynamic Gold (steel) shaft in R-300, S-300, and X-100 flexes. If you prefer graphite shafts we offer the Prestige 75 graphite in stiff, regular, seniors and ladies flexes.

The standard grip is the Golf Pride Tour Wrap. Other grip options are available upon request.
