Question 12

Q: Scott, I am a twenty-three year old with a BBA in business management and just graduated this past August. I got the degree to become a golf pro but am not too sure about what steps I need to take to do so.
If you could send me some advise it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Chad

A: Many of the best golf jobs are looking for business graduates in your degree. I would personally contact all the PGA sections and send resumes to the clubs and resorts that you like. Don't be surprised if you have to start in the bag room or an out-side area. I would also work with your university placement office. Your local PGA golf professional will have updates for your section and can give you the number to the national office for more information on the sectional telephone numbers.
Lastly, if you know of anyone in the positions at sites do not be afraid to use any and all connections you can get your hands on.
