Question 120

Scott,

I didn't understand your answer to a previous question regarding equipment. Can you use conventional clubs for your method and if so do they need to be adjusted in any way?

Thanks,
Dennis

It is very rare that once the optimal swing is understood and training becomes ingrained that the clubs you have now will fit. However, yes, you can use conventional clubs now. Moe set all his records with so called conventional clubs. It is also true that in some way they will need to be adjusted, like lie angle, length, weighting, grip size, shaft flex.

Once you have the new swing mechanics down have your swing speed tested, be dynamically fitted (this is with a club fitter hitting balls) experiment with grip size using gauze tape to build up, and back weighting or shaft weighting, to get the balance point on the club the same.
