Question 8

Q: How long does a club stay in contact with the ball? Is it more or less based upon the ball compression and type of club face you have?

A: The ball remains in contact with the club face for about 1/2 inch, which takes approximately 5/10,000 of a second.

The difference in compression has some effect on the coeffient of restitution, but won't make much difference in the time the ball is on the club face. And the answer is the same for metal heads, whether steel or titanium.
