What about full release grips? From Leo: Scott - I have been using IMA for several years now and have had great personal results. I started out as a 36 hcp 11 years ago and after trying several methods and taking lessons, the only thing that has improved my game has been IMA. I am now a 17 hcp and really enjoying my golf. My question is would "Full Release Golf Grips" help my IMA golf swing? Thanks in advance and thank you for a great game of golf. No, no, no, the full release grips are just hype. They say that their grip is designed for the finger grip, tell you not to hold the club in your palm, and make comical claims. The pressure on the swing pulls the club away from you and the taper helps you stay in control. Stay with a traditional grip and build up the grip under the right hand to fit the transverse grip.
