D. J. Hazledine, Jr., R.Ph, CP - Biographical Information



Don Hazledine is a staff pharmacist at the Veterans Administration Center in Denver, Colorado. The Denver VAMC is one of 15 national research and teaching institutions.

Don has been a member of the medical center's Stress and Burnout committee, the Media Relations Committee, the Stress Management committee and has served as chairman of the Stress Management committee for the past eight years. He and his team have conducted seminars for the VA system the US Air Force, the Disabled American Veterans and other allied federal agencies.

Don has authored articles for a number of federal and private publications. Sample titles include: Stress Management; Performance Enhancement; Managing Stress in Competition; Breathing for the Brain; and Emotional Balance Under Pressure.

Mr. Hazledine is a tennis coach, instructor, public speaker and consultant. He has been head coach for a university women's tennis team and has earned sectional and several state championship titles for his doubles and singles play.

Don has taught tennis intermittently over the past 20 years, becoming a USPTA member in 1995. He instructs private clients and groups and speaks to various tennis clubs, teams, groups, organizations and institutions.

In his free time, Don likes listening to Mozart, New Age Jazz and other public speakers and motivators. He enjoys running, swimming, playing and teaching the great game of tennis, and practicing meditation and guided visualization exercises. He is also an ardent reader of the latest research literature, searching for answers to the "mysteries" of the human mind.
