About Scott Hazledine

Scott Hazledine believes golf is the greatest game ever. It requires complete control of the body and mind. A native of South Dakota, and a standout athlete in both high school and college, Scott passed up a career in his family's business as a pharmacist to play competitive golf.

Scott Hazledine Photo After a promising early career, including playing in the 1987 U.S. Open at the Olympic Club, two serious car accidents ended Scott's playing career and led him naturally to teaching.

Scott was Vice President of Golf Operations for Natural Golf until December 1995. He worked with Jack Kuykendall, and Moe Norman (The World's Greatest Ball Striker) for many years before starting his company. Two months into learning his single axis swing Scott shot a 64, even with seven putts lipping out. Scott realized the importance of starting with a master teacher, a master player, and correct science.

Scott is often asked the difference between his swing, the Natural Golf swing, and Moe Norman's swing? The full answer is on the Ask Scott Archives page. A short version: Scott teaches the single axis swing Moe used in his 30s, not the restricted, awkward looking swing Moe uses now in his 60s.

Scigolf adheres strictly to scientific theory. Every claim is backed by scientific verification. Physics states that there is an ideal mechanical advantage motion for every mechanical action. The golf swing is not an exception. Observation of the Scigolf swing will easily convince you that this is the closest thing to ideal golfers have ever seen.

Scott still holds the course record on 12 different courses, although not the family hole-in-one record — his father is leading Scott, 9 to 7.
